„AUGUSTE RODIN”

BRONZE, 2011

The portrait of the sculptor is primarily a depiction of the artist in general, of every creator who gives new meaning to unshaped, unnamed form. The artist is also a thinker because creation is a mental process, and hands and language are just tools of thought. In the process of receiving the sculpture, I want to invite the viewer to engage in creative thinking – one can look into his dark, impenetrable eyes and see only emptiness, but one can also look into them like a mirror and with the eyes of the imagination see what the work of art reflects – the beauty of nature, of humanity, of oneself.
