SELF-PORTRAIT

CAST-IRON, 2012

Every work of art that is part of the cultural realm, and thus the realm of interhuman influence, begins inside a person, in their almost intimate relationship, the first and most important one, in which they are in some sense always alone—in relation to themselves. Thus, there is some element of a self-portrait in every work of art. What fascinates me continuously is that within me, just like within you, lies the truth about humans of all times.
